it means that i’ll make an attempt to see the perspectives of anyone, regardless of how fucked up they may be — because understanding brings a situation down to much more manageable levels.
regardless of who it is. regardless of how many people ‘hate’ the person. to be quite honest, the more people who do hate the person — the more interested i am in learning about who they are and why they’ve become so hated.
even if that person is labeled as something close to SATAN WALKING, and if doing so means becoming someone who’s called ‘satans advocate,’ so be it. i’d rather choose to do my best to think for myself rather than jump into the mob and run right along with it.
